ESCO Concept
ESCO is an enterprise offering Energy Performance Contracting to the clients. The contract aims at improving of energy efficiency and may include all steps from the phase of identifying the potential measures till monitoring the performance of the investments. It is typical to an ESCO to arrange financing so that the client does not need to tie up its own capital. The payment takes place in the form of transferring part of the cost savings following the efficiency investment to the service company. The variety of forms an EPC may have includes different combinations of the elements of such investments. An essential element in all the variants of the contract is the payment by the client to the service company on the basis of the energy cost savings. Read more:
