ENERGY SAVING NETWORK

The Energy Saving Network co-ordinates information flow related to EU financed energy efficiency projects in the Baltic Sea Region and neighbouring countries. The Network is a contribution of local and regional level administrations, energy associations and companies to sustainable development in energy field. The networking has been established in the frames of a few EU projects; ESCOBALT and SENET.

OBJECTIVES

The Energy Saving Network aims at building new R&D projects, disseminating effectively information stemming from different projects/seminars, Finding new business opportunities and lobbying.
Among other activities the Network has built the portal www.esprojects.net that introduces methods, tools and partners for the development of energy efficiency and corporate social responsibility in energy field.

NETWORKING WORKSHOP IN GREIFSWALD

The objective of the Greifswald Workshop was to lay basis for trans-national co-operation of local and regional energy sector, national organisations’ experts and the research field and to promote Corporate Social Responsibility and the development of sustainable energy sector.
The focus will be in discussion on common interests in business, research and cooperation.
Brief presentations will include themes related to energy saving business markets and opportunities, common research needs, EU policy or other issues of interest.
Three sessions focusing on discussion of the common needs and cooperation possibilities will be organised:

1. Networking policy and practises
2. R&D cooperation
3. Business cooperation and opportunities
