Energy Saving Network Declaration
12/02/07
The Energy Saving Network co-ordinates information flow related to European energy efficiency projects . The Network stems from some EU financed energy efficiency projects and is a contribution of local and regional level administrations, energy associations, energy agencies and centres and municipal energy companies to sustainable development in energy field. The Network has prepared a Declaration (see below).
The basic idea is to disseminate effectively the results, know-how and contacts gained from different projects. For this, this internet portal has been launched. http://www.esprojects.net/en . The (Energy Saving Projects Net) - portal collects together several projects and introduces methods, tools and partners for the development of energy efficiency and Corporate Social Responsibility in energy field. All the projects have synergy due to promoting energy saving and - efficiency methods. Yet, they have different approaches and thus give added value to each other. New projects are invited to use the portal as a dissemination channel, a project databank and a partner search channel. The Network has mainly been developed the frame of ESCOBALT Project, aiming at adopting common strategies and action plans based on the Corporate Social Responsibility Concept (CSRC) and to promote rational use of energy. This is implemented through the development of a cooperation of the partners and projects, building of networks, spreading information and discussing the problems and opportunities behind the energy sector. ESCOBALT is financed by the EU Interreg III B – program and it has partners from Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany and the Baltic States (see the project site/ partners from http://www.esprojects.net/en/projects/escobalt . The Network has agreed on a Declaration, which defines the basic principles of focus area and targets.
